The role you’ll contribute:
Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations and procedures in accordance with physician orders, regulatory guidelines, and departmental protocols. This role ensures patient comfort and safety, provides accurate imaging for interpretation by radiologists, and maintains compliance with MQSA and ACR standards while supporting a positive patient experience.

Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed.
Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements.
Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions [Required]
Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required]
Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations [Required]
Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety [Required]
Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required]
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Ability to make judgments that must be made on a regular basis regarding exam protocols and imaging techniques, based upon patient condition and provisional diagnosis [Required]
Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]
Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]
Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required]
