Description

  

Job Description: Fabrication and repair of various metal parts by using different types of metal altering machines such as punch presses, drill presses, milling centers, steel welding machines, aluminum welding machines, saws, ironworkers, shear, etc.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have at least two years of experience welding steel and aluminum using some of the various equipment listed above. 
  • Must be able to understand  and read blueprints.
  • Monitor and stock shop supplies necessary to complete projects.
  • Must be able to use different types of measuring tools such as calipers, dial indicators, tape measures, etc.
  • Must have welding machine setup experience, such as different types of welding guns, saw sets up’s, etc.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Work with Engineering on upcoming prototypes.
  • Perform daily cleanup and inspection of tools needed to complete job tasks. 
  • Follow the instruction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead
  • Inspects all parts to be complete and up to quality standards. 
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.

Requirements

  

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing job duties. 
  • Must be able to always wear proper safety equipment while in the machine shop. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
