JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: Certified required
- Licenses: Licensed in IA or Universal License (IMLC)
- DEA: Active DEA required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS
- Fellowship: Preferred
- Other Qualifications: Active Iowa Medicaid preferred (as confirmed in bid); EMR proficiency (MediTech, Athena)
- Provide comprehensive obstetric care including deliveries, c-sections, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
- Perform gynecologic procedures in office and surgical settings (e.g., IUD placement, colposcopy, laparoscopy).
- Cover clinic hours Monday through Friday, seeing 15β20 patients per day with support from NPs and nursing staff.
- Participate in rotating call schedule (10β14 day stretches) managing labor and delivery, emergency consults, and surgical back-up.
- Collaborate with transferring facilities for NICU-level patients requiring Life Flight to Iowa City or Des Moines.
