DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•       Test, diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment utilizing an array of test equipment including oscilloscopes, radio test sets and signal analyzers
•       Test, diagnose and repair PCBA’s down to component level in accordance with IPC level 2 and 3
•       Safety test customer and production equipment
•       Enter symptom, fault diagnosis and fix onto appropriate IT systems and fault databases
•       Accurately record productive and non-productive hours on our ERP system
•       Forecast and monitor job costs (labor and materials) to ensure repairs remain economical / profitable. Liaise with supervision in the event products are forecast to be beyond economic repair.
•       Monitor and implement CSD actions and change notices to upgrade customer equipment as required
•       Recognize repeat failures within repairs and highlight trends to production engineering and supervision
•       Ensure all equipment is within calibration and appropriate safety certifications (PAT) prior to use
•       Maintain the job status on our IT systems including T-Card and ERP
•       Produce test and repair customer documentation
•       Provide updates to Customer Services Department on customers’ equipment repair status, & repair costing
•       Apply ‘5S’ and LEAN manufacturing techniques to the workplace
•       Report any difficulties/problems/concerns to the Supervisor.
•       Conduct other Product Technical Services tasks as requested by the Supervisor
•       Understand and comply with Company and departmental policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aptitude or experience working with electronics, soldering techniques (IPC 610, J-STD or similar), electrical test equipment, and/or electrical testing.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Enrolled in or will be completing a 2-4 year Technical Degree program or technical school certification. Preferably in electronics, electrical engineering technology, electrical testing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5+ years experience in the test, troubleshooting and repair of digital, analog and RF circuits to the component level.Â
- Knowledge of RF circuit theory preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass a U.S. government background check investigation.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.Â
