Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neuromed Tech, you will demonstrate knowledge and application skills of common neurological testing and procedures. Your precise data collection and artifact management will directly assist neurologists in diagnosing conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, sleep disorders, and brain tumors.

 

Every day you will prepare patients and conduct specialized neuro diagnostic tests to assist, neurologists in measuring electrical activity in the brain and nervous system.

 

To be successful in this role, you will conduct standard and complex neuro diagnostic testing, including Routine/Ambulatory EEG's, Evoked Potentials (EP), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and Polysomnograms (PSG).

 

  • Accurately assess patient's physical and emotional condition.
  • Provides accurate and complete documentation.
  • Performs electroencephalographic tests and other neurological examinations as requested.
  • Participates in Ambulatory Services Depart support activities
  • Assists physicians as requested 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Required

 

  • High School education or equivalent in work experience current CPR certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • One (1) year recent experience as an EEG technician in an acute care facility  
  • Currently working towards obtaining EEG certification from ABRET.

Preferred

  • Certification as an EEG technician
