Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Med Tech II, you will have a crucial role in performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, PET scans, SPECT scans and thyroid uptake studies.

 

Every day you will prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures, following strict safety and dosage protocols.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess proficiency with complex imaging systems such as CT, and hybrid modalities, including troubleshooting and quality assurance.

 

  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other health-care professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education activities.

Job Requirements

Required

  • More than one (1) year previous experience as a nuclear medicine technician
  • Current on continuing education units required by the licensing boards
  • Special training in Nuclear Medicine
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technician certification (CT NMT)
  • Current AHA CPR card (CT CPR BLS)
