Placement coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Industry & Recruiter Coordination
  

  • Establish and maintain relationships with IT, technology, engineering, and STEM companies.
    
  • Communicate with recruiters regarding job openings, internships, eligibility criteria, and recruitment schedules.
    
  • Invite suitable companies to participate in campus placement and internship drives.
    

• Student Placement Management
  

  • Collect and maintain updated student profiles, resumes, academic records, and placement preferences.
    
  • Identify eligible students according to company-specific criteria.
    
  • Share job and internship opportunities with relevant students.
    

• Placement Drive Coordination
  

  • Organize and coordinate aptitude tests, coding assessments, technical interviews, HR interviews, group discussions, and pre-placement talks.
    
  • Coordinate interview schedules, venues, online meeting links, and other logistical requirements.
    
  • Ensure smooth communication between recruiters and students throughout the recruitment process.
    

• IT/STEM-Specific Support
  

  • Track opportunities in areas such as software development, data science, AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud computing, networking, electronics, engineering, research, and emerging technologies.
    
  • Coordinate technical assessments and coding-based recruitment processes.
    
  • Help students understand current industry requirements and in-demand technical skills.
    

• Student Preparation & Career Development
  

  • Organize training programs on aptitude, coding, technical skills, communication, interview preparation, and resume writing.
    
  • Arrange workshops, seminars, hackathons, industry talks, and career guidance sessions.
    
  • Encourage students to pursue relevant certifications, projects, internships, and industry exposure.
    

• Placement Data & Documentation
  

  • Maintain accurate records of placement and internship activities.
    
  • Track student applications, selection status, offers, joining status, and placement statistics.
    
  • Prepare periodic placement reports for management and institutional records.
    

• Post-Placement Follow-up
  

  • Maintain communication with selected students and recruiters until the joining process is completed.
    
  • Collect feedback from students and companies to improve future placement activities.
