We are looking for a seniorlegal officer who can take ownership of workstreams while adhering toinstitutional principles.

Location: New Delhi

Reporting to: Lead - Legal

Duration: Full-time

Purpose: CEEW is lookingto hire a legal expert for handling sensitive matters and routine tasks in thisdomain involving risk analysis based on due diligence, contract negotiation andreview, drafting and reviewing organisational policy, and staying abreast ofthe latest regulatory developments.

We need a professional who takes up ownership anddemonstrates a sense of responsibility in managing the tasks and helpingmanagement make decisions on legal matters. If you have familiarity with thedevelopment sector, that is an added bonus!

Job Responsibilities:

●        RiskAnalysis: Ability toconduct inter-sectional research and turn around nuanced risk analysisdocuments that address key concerns and suggest pragmatic solutions.

●        Contractreview: Ability toreview and revise a contract to harmonise the requirements of both parties,reduce negotiation timelines and protect the interests of the organization. Ability to use contracts to craft innovativesolutions for what may appear to be roadblocks

●        Policydocuments: Ability to createcompliance and working policy documents for the organisationby distilling relevant provisions of applicable law into action items.

●        Ownershipand problem-solving:Takes complete responsibility for allocated work and is self-motivated tocomplete tasks and solve problems. Ability to use the law as a tool to solveproblems.

Required knowledge base:

●        Soundknowledge of FCRA, Income Tax Act, the Trust Act and jurisprudence regardingcharitable trusts

●        High degree offamiliarity with issues faced by development sector entities

●        Familiaritywith data protection laws, laws of trust and equity, property laws, andenvironmental laws.

●        Smartdrafting skills

●        Familiaritywith organisational compliance management

●        Abilityto use AI as an assistant while retaining original and independent thinking

PQE: 5-6 years in any legal field

CEEW operates in a dynamicenvironment, and the candidate will be required to show flexibility inundertaking a variety of tasks.

Compensation:
