Overview / Job Purpose / About the Company:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Supply ChainSpecialist – Procurement to support strategic sourcing, suppliermanagement, inventory optimization, and procurement operations. The rolefocuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance,improving supplier performance, and supporting APAC procurement initiativeswithin a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and manufacturing subcontractors.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Develop cost reduction strategies and optimize procurement operations.
- Support inventory management, 3PL, and distribution activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and procurement policies.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide market intelligence to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and APAC teams to improve operational efficiency.
Competencies:
- Strong experience in Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management.
- Expertise in Raw Material Sourcing and Contract Negotiation.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM (Mandatory) and SAP MRP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of Quality Compliance, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Process, Industrial, or Fine Chemical Industry.
- Exposure to APAC procurement, reverse bidding platforms, and data analysis is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory (Tamil and Hindi preferred).

- Work Location: Chennai (Work From Office)
- Working Days: 5 Days
- Shift: General Shift
- Notice Period: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred
- Moderate travel may be required.
- Professional certification in Procurement/Sourcing is an added advantage.
- Experience in Toll Manufacturing, Subcontract Operations, and Chemical Procurement will be highly preferred.
