Shifts Available

• Full-time: 5:00 AM–1:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required

About the Role
St. Mark Village, an award-winning senior living community in Palm Harbor, is hiring a full-time Cook with experience in healthcare food service. Candidates must have cooked in a hospital, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care kitchen. You’ll know what this job takes: cooking for residents’ special diets, sticking to production schedules, and putting out food that is safe and tastes good. Most applicants hear back within 48 hours.

What You’ll Do

• Cook and serve meals for residents in the dining room and café, following menus, recipes, and production schedules
• Prepare therapeutic and modified diets, such as diabetic, low-sodium, renal, and pureed or mechanical soft meals, following diet orders and texture guidelines
• Cook in volume while keeping quality, portions, and presentation consistent
• Keep food safety records, including food and refrigeration temperature logs
• Keep kitchen areas, tools, and equipment clean and sanitized, including daily and weekly cleaning and occasional dish room support
• Train and mentor kitchen team members in proper food handling and cleaning
• Report damaged equipment or needed repairs right away

What You’ll Need

• Cooking experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care kitchen (required)
• Experience preparing therapeutic, modified-texture, or special diets (required)
• Solid cooking and food handling skills and a working knowledge of food service operations
• Florida food handler certification or ServSafe (preferred)
• Availability for your assigned shift and weekend rotation
• Must be at least 18 years old
