POSITION SUMMARY
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure hardware and platform software components. The role provides technical support, performance optimization, incident resolution, capacity planning, and technical consultation across the organization’s infrastructure environment.
The position serves as an escalation point for critical infrastructure systems and related outages, providing technical assistance and monitoring across IT projects. The role ensures infrastructure solutions are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with business and application requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensures infrastructure-related projects meet defined objectives, technical requirements, and operational standards.
- Analyzes technical requirements, application dependencies, and infrastructure risks, and ensures proper integration with the overall network topology.
- Contributes to short- and long-term infrastructure strategy and technology roadmaps based on organizational requirements, technology trends, and business needs.
- Participates in architecture and design decisions across IT teams to ensure scalable and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
- Identifies technology gaps and collaboratively develops and implements appropriate solutions.
- Creates and maintains accurate and up-to-date infrastructure and network documentation.
- Assists the Infrastructure Manager in developing and streamlining infrastructure processes in compliance with approved policies and standards.
- Maintains awareness of current and emerging infrastructure technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- More than 10 years of experience managing and supporting server infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
- Proven experience in infrastructure rollouts, upgrades, administration, and decommissioning.
- Demonstrated experience in migrating systems and infrastructure to newer technology versions.
- Proven experience designing and implementing high-availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments and business-critical applications.
- Strong knowledge of server, computing, storage, and operating system technologies, including Windows, Linux, iSeries/AS400, and Solaris.
- Proven experience in the design, implementation, and administration of virtualization technologies, including VMware, Nutanix Cluster, and other Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions.
- Experience managing enterprise storage solutions and Storage Area Network (SAN) environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure capacity planning, resource utilization, and performance management.
- Knowledge of containerization and open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform is an advantage.
- Knowledge of networking technologies, including Cisco and related enterprise networking solutions, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 business-critical environment and respond to infrastructure incidents and operational requirements.
