JOB DESCRIPTION

EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal, Part-Time (October 2026 - March 2027)

FLSA: Non-Exempt

LOCATION: Center of Excellence – Park City, UT

TRAVEL: Minimal; occasional local travel for equipment transport and event support

TOTAL COMPENSATION: Hourly wage; not bonus eligible

BENEFITS: As a part-time, seasonal position, this role is not eligible for the full benefits package. Applicable perks may include industry perks and access to the athlete gym; confirm eligibility details with HR.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard is seeking a part-time, seasonal Equipment & Operations Coordinator. This role supports our Equipment operations team during the winter competition season. For inquiries or help with your application, please email HR@usskiandsnowboard.org.


SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE 

The Equipment & Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day movement, organization, and tracking of team equipment and apparel, while providing administrative support across inventory and travel logistics. This role ensures athletes and staff have the gear they need, when they need it, and helps keep inventory systems accurate and up to date.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Athlete Experience
    1. Support timely, accurate distribution of gear ahead of training camps, competitions, and international travel.
    2. Respond promptly to athlete and staff requests related to equipment issues, replacements, or sizing.
  2. Operational Excellence
    1. Receive, organize, and move incoming equipment and apparel shipments, including staging inventory in storage and distribution areas.
    2. Maintain accurate inventory records in Teamworks, including intake, distribution, returns, and reconciliation of gear and apparel by sport and size.
  3. Financial Performance
    1. Support accurate inventory tracking to minimize loss, shrinkage, and unnecessary reordering costs.
    2. Assist in reconciling inventory counts against purchase orders and sponsor product shipments.
    3. Help ensure equipment and apparel spending stays aligned with department budget through diligent tracking and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Ability to regularly lift and carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  2. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move equipment for extended periods while organizing inventory and storage spaces.
  3. Ability to move between indoor storage areas and outdoor loading/unloading areas in varying weather conditions.

 

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  2. Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, retail, or operations support (required).
  3. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently (required).
  4. Ability to lift and move equipment and boxes consistent with the essential functions listed above (required).
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook (required).
  6. Experience with inventory management systems such as Teamworks (preferred).
  7. Experience in a sports, athletics, or outdoor/winter sports environment (preferred).


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
