Flowserve is seeking an experienced, people-first operations leader to serve as Senior Manager, Quick Response Center (QRC) Manager. In this key site leadership role, you will have end-to-end accountability for operational execution, customer experience, manufacturing throughput, and aftermarket repair operations across pumps, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment.

As the site leader, you will manage a multidisciplinary, diverse team across assembly, machining, DCI (Disassembly, Cleaning, Inspection), engineering, and field service. You will drive a zero-incident safety culture, spearhead continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S/6S, Kaizen), manage site P&L financials (labor absorption, cost management, direct labor utilization, capital planning), and ensure market-leading response times and On-Time Delivery (OTD).

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Operational Leadership & Execution: Direct all daily manufacturing, assembly, machining, testing, and aftermarket repair operations for rotating equipment, pumps, and mechanical seals to maximize throughput and operational efficiency.

  • Safety & Quality Ownership: Champion an uncompromising safety-first culture adhering to strict environmental, health, and safety standards to achieve zero Lost Time Accidents (LTA) and maintain low TRR metrics. Enforce ISO quality management systems across all shop workflows.

  • People Leadership & Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, train, and counsel direct labor and supervisory personnel. Build direct labor progression programs, cross-training matrices, and robust succession planning for the facility.

  • Site Financial & Capacity Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive operational plans managing direct labor utilization, labor absorption, budget variance, facility maintenance, operating expenses, and capital expenditures (CapEx).

  • Continuous Improvement & Backlog Reduction: Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S, and Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) to eliminate shop bottlenecks, streamline repair scopes, reduce warranty costs, and eliminate past-due backlogs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Regional Sales, Commercial Operations, Project Management, Quality, and Finance to ensure seamless order execution, accurate repair quotations (AMP cycle time), and best-in-class customer service.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive manufacturing or aftermarket repair operations experience, including at least 3–5+ years in direct supervisory or operations site management (Plant Manager, Shop Manager, Production Manager, or Service Center Manager).

  • Industry & Technical Background: Proven knowledge of pumps, mechanical seals, rotating equipment, or related industrial fluid motion and control equipment. Understanding of service/shop operations including DCI, machining, welding, assembly, testing, and field service.

  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated track record applying Lean, Six Sigma, 5S/6S, Kaizen, or Root Cause Analysis to drive measurable Year-Over-Year gains in OTD, safety, and productivity.

  • Systems & Business Acumen: Experience managing site KPIs (labor absorption, OTD, TRR, warranty, past due backlog), utilizing ERP/MRP order management platforms, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related technical discipline.
