About the Role:

As a surveyor based in the United States, you will play a critical role in measuring and mapping land boundaries to support construction, development, and legal property delineation. Your work will ensure accurate data collection and interpretation, which is essential for land ownership, planning, and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and government officials to provide precise survey data that informs project design and compliance with regulations. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to operate advanced surveying equipment and software to produce reliable and legally defensible results. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects by providing foundational geographic information that guides decision-making and resource allocation.


Minimum Qualifications:


    Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

    Valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the United States.

    Proficiency in operating surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.

    Experience with GIS and CAD software for data analysis and map production.

    Strong understanding of land surveying principles, boundary law, and relevant regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

    Familiarity with drone technology and photogrammetry for aerial surveys.

    Advanced certifications in GIS or specialized surveying techniques.

    Knowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on land surveying.

    Demonstrated ability to manage survey projects and lead field teams.

Responsibilities:

    Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments to collect accurate spatial data.

    Analyze survey data and prepare detailed maps, reports, and legal descriptions of land boundaries and topography.

    Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and government agencies to understand project requirements and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    Verify and interpret legal documents such as deeds, titles, and plats to establish property boundaries.

    Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure precision and reliability during data collection.

    Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and computer-aided design (CAD) software to process and present survey data.

    Prepare documentation and present findings for use in construction, land development, and legal proceedings.

    Stay updated on industry standards, safety protocols, and technological advancements in surveying.

The required skills enable the Surveyor to accurately collect and interpret spatial data critical for defining land boundaries and supporting construction projects. Proficiency with surveying instruments and software ensures precise measurements and efficient data processing, which are essential for producing reliable maps and legal documents.
