Residential Family Therapist
LMHC, LCSW or LMFT
Seamark Ranch | Green Cove Springs, FL (Clay County) | Full-Time, On-Site
Pay: $52,000 to $60,000 per year, based on licensure and experience

Lead individual and family therapy for youth in residential care, with a clinical team behind you.

You will lead care for residential youth and their families as part of a clinical team that shares groups, coverage and on-call, so you are never the only clinician carrying a hard case. We welcome licensed clinicians (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) and registered interns, and we provide interns with supervision toward Florida licensure at no cost.

See the kids you treat outside the therapy room

Seamark Ranch provides residential care for children in crisis, ages 10 to 18, along with counseling for their families. Our kids live in family-style homes with house parents, attend our on-campus education center, and work with horses and livestock in our equine and agriculture programs.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a critical member of a residential care team, serving kids through several modalities, including equine therapy, experiential therapy and DBT groups. You will work closely with house parents and teachers, and we offer opportunities to grow your skills, including training to become an equine therapist and continuing education opportunities.

Work that sends kids home to stronger families

For almost every child here, the goal is going home. You will provide family therapy at least twice a month, help parents build healthier ways of communicating, and support each child's return home from admission through aftercare.

What we offer

  • A caseload of residential youth and their families
  • A clinical team model with shared DBT groups, backup coverage and a rotating on-call schedule
  • Employer contribution toward health insurance premiums
  • 401(k) with employer match, eligible after six months
  • Paid time off, paid holidays and sick time
  • Continuing education allowance
  • Training opportunities, including equine therapy and EMDR
  • Free supervision toward Florida licensure for registered interns (RMHCI, RCSWI, RMFTI), during paid hours
  • An interdisciplinary team of house parents, teachers, equine, agriculture staff, and case managers.

What you will do

  • Lead clinical care for an assigned group of residential youth, including individual therapy, assessment and treatment planning
  • Provide family therapy at least twice a month and coach parents toward healthy communication and reunification
  • Consult with house parents on trauma-related and relational needs, and help them carry out support plans
  • Coordinate with psychiatric and medical providers, and plan transitions home and aftercare
  • Complete risk assessments, behavior plans, safety plans, and take part in a rotating clinical on-call schedule
  • Keep clinical documentation current in TherapyNotes

What you bring

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology or a related field
  • Florida LMHC, LCSW or LMFT license, or active Florida registration as an RMHCI, RCSWI or RMFTI
  • Experience counseling children or adolescents and their families
  • Availability for afternoon and early evening hours and the on-call rotation
  • Comfort working in a setting where Christian faith and values are part of daily care
  • Ability to pass Level 2 background screening and drug testing

Helpful but not required: experience in residential treatment, child welfare, foster care or community mental health; training in trauma-focused or attachment-based approaches; TherapyNotes experience.
