This is a part-time, hourly position.Â
Examples of Duties:
- Provide individualized writing support for students in Developmental English courses.
- Assisting students with revising essays by offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Conduct 50 minute Developmental English group labs.
- Document tutoring and lab sessions accurately (e.g., notes for the center’s records).
- Follow center policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in tutor training sessions and staff meetings.
- Customer service/greeting students
- Answer phones, email follow-ups and cancellations of appointments
Qualifications:
- Minimum A- in EN 101 and EN 102
- Maintain good academic standing meeting satisfactory academic progress standards
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: The hourly pay for this position is $16.
