POSITION SUMMARY: 

The PARATA Pharmacy Technician Specialist will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the PARATA Robot Automated Dispensing System including but not limited to, workflows, training team members, inventory and machine maintenance. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

 Drug Inventory and ordering

  • Add, remove, and update drug canisters in the Parata system (internal medications
  • Update medications in the robot system, including identifying fast movers and removing low-usage medications 
  • Ordering medications for the robot and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to ensure continuous and efficient pharmacy operations 

Workflow

  • Create and maintain a “fast movers” section to support faster order filling during mornings and shifts 
  • Maintain stock for blister cards, labels (high-capacity and standard), canister labels, and tray labels 

Training & Leadership

  • Train technicians on the SynMed/Parata interface and workflow 
  • Provide bilingual translation and support to ensure proper training and clear communication among staff 
  • Assist with onboarding and skill development for new technicians 

Parata XF Maintenance

  • Clean and replace pipettes 
  • Clean and replace filters 
  • Unclog pipettes
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bilingual in other languages 
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma of GED
  • Have 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Active and unrestricted RPhT MA Pharmacy Technician License
