Responsibilities
Provide individualized instructional and behavioral support to elementary students with autism in an intensive learning environment.
Assist special education teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), classroom activities, and established behavior support plans.
Support students in developing communication, social interaction, academic, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress, document observations, and communicate student needs to the special education team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of special education experience in a public school classroom.
- Current or previous Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience supporting elementary students with moderate disabilities and behavioral needs.
- Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
