Areas of Responsibility: Infection Control-related Duties. Performs duties following the daily housekeeping schedule/checklist, including but not limited to: Sweeping, vacuuming and/or mopping all floors (sanitizing mop heads weekly) Regularly cleaning and/or dusting all furniture, pictures, baseboards, wheelchair guards, windowsills, walls, etc., including activity rooms Cleaning all interior windows in bedrooms. Cleaning air conditioning vents Clean and Sanitize all door handles. time clocks, electric door openers Clean and sanitize all bed rails and bedroom door knobs Cleaning and sanitizing all restrooms Cleaning showers, shower tables, shower chairs and toilet seats Clean bedroom walls as needed Dust, clean and sanitize sensory room and all items inside. Housekeeping Duties. Complete daily housekeeping checklist and place in housekeeping binder. Ensures that adequate and appropriate materials and supplies are available in all areas (bedrooms, kitchens and restrooms (e.g., paper towels, napkins, toilet tissue and soap, resident needs, etc.). Keeps chemical/housekeeping closets neat, clean, odor free and locked at all times. Keeps linen room neat and clean at all times, including drawers and counter top. Keeps laundry room neat and clean including shelves. Keeps living room neat and clean. Clean all administration offices weekly Checks for cigarette butts daily (in designated smoking areas); reports violations of the smoking policy. Cleans all exterior windows and doors. Keep supply shed clean and organized. (Please follow safety guidelines). Dispose of all boxes and housekeeping related trash. Other Duties. Follows the direction set by ICF Administrator to remain in accordance with AHCA regulations. Assists with maintaining a safe environment for the residents. Reports any problems/unsafe conditions to ICF Administrator /Residential Manager as soon as possible. Properly maintains housekeeping equipment; promptly reports repair and maintenance issues. Completes plans of correction from Infection Control Surveys/Inspections in a timely manner. Attends meetings as required/requested. Performs direct care duties as assigned. Orders materials as needed Other duties may apply as assigned.   Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  High School Diploma or GED. Must have at least one (1) year working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, squatting, and physical exertion of upper and lower body muscles for up to 8 hours per day. Working Conditions: Primary duties are in an intermediate care facility environment with moderate noise levels.
