The Senior Manager, Contracts & Marketing, is responsible for analyzing market conditions, identifying trends, evaluating competitor strategies, and developing competitive bids to secure and grow customer contracts. This role requires strong customer engagement and an active industry presence to drive business development, strengthen relationships, and expand the company’s customer base.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Manage and secure customer contracts by developing cost‑effective, competitive bids and ensuring seamless rig assignment ahead of contract expirations
  • Partner closely with Operations to monitor rig performance and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Lead sales forecasting and support the development and coordination of divisional and corporate marketing plans
  • Drive business development and customer engagement, maintaining strong industry relationships, identifying new opportunities, and representing the company at client and industry events
  • Provide leadership and oversight for assigned contracts (up to $10M+ in revenue), manage direct reports as applicable, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in marketing or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts and supporting commercial agreements
  • Strong knowledge of the drilling industry and market dynamics
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal), with proficiency in business systems and common office software
