Hiring for Surgical Technologist in Peoria, IL

Requirements

• 2+ years of hospital surgical experience required
  
• New graduates not accepted
  
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program
  
• Current BLS certification
  
• Experience in:
  • General Surgery
    
  • Urology
    
  • Gynecology
    
  • ENT
    
  • Da Vinci robotic surgery – independent experience required
    
• Strong scrubbing skills required
  
• Level I Trauma experience required for Mid/Evening/Night shifts
  
• Candidates with 1.5+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered
  

Common Procedures

• Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, colon, and appendectomy
  
• Cystoscopy
  
• Da Vinci robotic procedures
  
• Hysterectomy
  
• Vascular procedures
  
• ENT and urology cases 
  

Schedule & Call

• 8-hour day shifts
  
• Every 3rd weekend, including a full weekend
  
• Rotating call and holiday coverage
  
• 30-minute call response time
  
• May float to other surgical teams or SPD when qualified 
  

Department Details

• 29 total operating suites; 14 dedicated to General Surgery
  
• Approximately 20–40 General Surgery cases per day
  
• Epic OP Time EMR
  
• OR Tech and Charge Nurse support available
  
• Scrubbing required
