Cosmetology Instructor

As a Cosmetology Instructor, you will play a central role in guiding students through their training and supporting their progress toward licensure. You will help create an engaging learning experience that blends technical instruction, demonstration, coaching, and accountability while working closely with campus staff to support student success.

• Deliver engaging theory lessons and live demonstrations across core cosmetology techniques.
• Evaluate student practical work and provide individualized coaching for skill development.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant salon classroom environment.
• Track student progress and support preparation for state licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with campus staff to improve curriculum and student outcomes.

• Hold a valid cosmetology instructor license.
• Hands-on experience with haircutting, hair coloring, chemical texture services, and styling.
• Strong knowledge of state board standards, including salon sanitation and safety requirements.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Prior instructional experience is a plus.

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $21.00 and $25.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility
