Description

We are seeking a Part-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist to join our hospital-based team in Peru Indiana, providing care across both inpatient and outpatient settings with flexible weekday and weekend opportunities available. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to help them improve their independence, safety, functional abilities, and overall quality of life.


The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled occupational therapy services, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The OT will also provide guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as appropriate.


Responsibilities:

Resident Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's independence and quality of life. 

Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation. 

Supervision: Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. 

Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings. 

Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events. 


Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Prefer current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist state license or license eligibility 

Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Technology: Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
