- Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial analysis reports, ensuring they are timely, accurate, complete, and fully compliant with Group reporting requirements and regulatory standards.
- Take charge of the Group's treasury functions, including cash flow planning and treasury activities, to ensure optimal liquidity management.
- Ensure full tax compliance and timely filing in accordance with applicable tax regulations and transfer pricing requirements.
- Compile financial data, conduct detailed monthly variance analysis, identify key performance drivers, monitor action plans, and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Oversee the day-to-day finance operations and functions to ensure efficient, effective, and consistent finance practices, timely account closing, proper financial records, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Enhance and improve financial reporting formats, systems, and processes. Identify gaps or areas for standardization, and formulate accounting policies and procedures, including automation of reporting processes to improve overall finance operations and reporting.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, regulatory bodies, bankers, company secretaries, and lawyers on audit, tax, banking, and legal matters.
- Stay updated on financial reporting standards (MFRS) and other statutory requirements, ensuring strict compliance and adherence.
- Remain vigilant and track important deadlines, resourcefully and proactively completing required working papers.
- Undertake any other projects and ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity, working experience in a Big 4 audit firm is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations and Group financial reporting standards.
- Written and spoken English and Mandarin are a MUST.
- Familiarity with Group consolidation is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proactive, ability to drive and function effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Ability to establish, collaborate and work with internal cross-functional team members effectively and productively.
