Our client, a well known nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to be the primary subject matter expert. You will have total ownership over the payroll system, streamline internal controls, and lead a crucial function in an organization that makes a real community impact.
Own the Process: Manage and execute the end-to-end, error-free processing of our organization's payroll cycles.
Lead the Migration: Champion the smooth transition of payroll workflows from HR into the Finance department, establishing rock-solid handoffs.
System Expert: Act as the ultimate administrator and super-user for the payroll platform, optimizing time, labor, and system automation.
Navigate Specialized Pay: Oversee our unique school-year annualized "pay-smoothing" calculations for teachers and academic staff.
Tighten Controls: Partner with the Senior Accountant to build, document, and enforce a formalized, bulletproof payroll review and approval process.
Requirements
• Previous payroll experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage payroll
• Collaborative personality and strong communication skills
