Description

Early Childhood Education Teacher


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Extended Care Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to positively influence young children's development outside of regular school hours, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our students.


Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and care for children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development

- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children and parents

- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities

- Enforce school policies and procedures consistently and professionally

- Collaborate with other staff members to support children's individual needs and create a cohesive care environment

- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues in a positive and constructive manner


Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting preferred

- Strong understanding of child development principles

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain patient, flexible, and attentive in a dynamic environment

- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood education credentials are a plus

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
