GI Technician- 40/hrs, Day Shifts (Temple Hospital)

The position involves assisting with endoscopic procedures and preparing the room with necessary equipment.
Responsibilities include scope reprocessing and preparing accessory equipment for sterilization while adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital policies.
The role also requires assistance with motility studies in the Gastroenterology Section and the Functional Gastrointestinal Disease Center.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred training as an Operating Room Technician or relevant education and experience.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in GI is preferred, along with Basic Life Support certification.

Assists with endoscopic procedures, sets up the room with equipment needed for each specific procedure and is responsible for scope reprocessing and preparation of accessory equipment for sterilization. Performs duties adhering to standards of aseptic techniques and in accordance with the Gastroenterology Unit and Temple University Hospital policies and procedures. Also assists professional staff with motility studies performed in the Gastroenterology Section and the Functional Gastrointestinal Disease Center.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Other Operating Room Technician training program. Preferred or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience
1 year experience in a similar role in GI Preferred

Licenses
Basic Life Support Required
Certified GI Technician Preferred
