Position Overview:
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of The Perimeter, an adult day program at Veterans Multi-Service Center. This includes overseeing daily activities, staff supervision, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies, managing the program budget, and fostering a therapeutic and supportive environment for participants.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management and Development:Â
- Oversee the daily operations of Adult Day Services, ensuring the program meets the needs of its participants and adheres to all relevant regulations and policies.Â
- Develop and implement program goals, objectives, and activities in alignment with the organization's mission and strategic plan.Â
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve service delivery.Â
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in adult day services and related fields.Â
- Explore opportunities to expand and enhance the program, including developing new services and partnerships.Â
- Staff Supervision and Development:Â
- Supervise and mentor program staff, including Program Coordinators, Case Managers, and other client services staff.
- Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, individual supervision sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.Â
- Participant Care and Support:Â
- Ensure that participants receive high-quality, person-centered care and support that meets their individual needs.Â
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with participants, families, and other service providers.Â
- Monitor participant progress, address concerns, and intervene when necessary to ensure well-being and safety.Â
- Create a welcoming, engaging, and therapeutic environment for participants.Â
- Administrative and Financial Management:Â
- Manage the program budget effectively, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.Â
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including participant files, attendance logs, and financial reports.Â
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including those from funding sources and licensing agencies.Â
- Community Outreach and Collaboration:Â
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, referral sources, and other stakeholders.Â
- Represent the program and the organization at community events and meetings.Â
- Advocate for the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.Â
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:Â
- Master’s degree in social work, Gerontology, or a related field preferred.
- Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities in a human services setting.
- Prior supervisory experience required.Â
- Experience with adult day programs or similar programs preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge:Â
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.Â
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Â
- Knowledge of best practices in adult day services and person-centered care.Â
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.Â

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Â
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.Â

- First Aid and CPR certification.Â
