Ghost Robotics is the industry leader in legged robotic systems that help our customers solve complex operational, national security, and technical challenges to save lives, reduce harm and improve outcomes. 


This position will report to the CEO and will be responsible for leading and scaling the U.S. Business Development function across military, government, and public safety markets. The VP, U.S. Business Development will work closely with a fast-moving team delivering next generation legged robotic solutions. We are looking for a candidate who is a proven leader, strategically minded, operationally disciplined, and capable of building and developing high performing teams in a fast paced, high growth environment. 


Key Duties

  • Develop and execute a U.S. growth strategy focused on increasing market share and driving revenue across military, government, and public safety verticals 
  • Research and identify current and future opportunities to increase market share in target sectors 
  • Identify and secure dynamic funding streams, contract vehicles, and strategic growth opportunities 
  • Target and vet U.S. government partner programs, joint ventures, and strategic alliances 
  • Develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders, decision makers, and influencers 
  • Own and manage government relations, including lobbyist relationships, legislative engagement, and advocacy efforts that support the company’s market position and growth objectives 
  • Navigate and thrive in changing DoD procurement environment 
  • Implement and maintain structured pipeline management and procurement processes that support forecasting accuracy and revenue visibility 
  • Oversee statements of work and technical specifications in coordination with engineering and operations 
  • Build, lead, and develop a high performing U.S. Business Development team 

Requirements


  • BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field; MBA or degree in engineering a plus 
  • 12+ years of progressive business development or sales leadership experience, including senior ownership of scaling a revenue organization through its next phase of growth, with a complex product sold into defense, government, public safety, robotics, or a related industry 
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high performing Go-To-Market or Business Development teams 
  • Strong executive presence with a track record of partnering closely with C-suite leadership and key stakeholders 
  • Executive level market knowledge across U.S. defense, government, and public safety sectors 
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and cross functional collaboration skills 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Must be able to pass a General Employment Background Check; ability to obtain additional Security Clearances based on customer/territory requirements 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Travel required up to 65% of the time 

Location

Philadelphia, PA or Washington, D.C preferred. Remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
