Function:


The role of the Toolroom Quality Inspector is to inspect calibration document, periodic inspection, and inspection of repaired tool.

The Toolroom Quality Inspector is responsible of records and ensures that proper controls and processes are followed per company procedure.

The Toolroom Quality Inspector coordinates with toolroom management and advises toolroom management of the status of calibration, maintenance, and repairs of tooling.

This position takes direction from the Toolroom Supervisor.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Follows policies and procedures that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Generate reports for replacement or repairs as assigned
  • Creates and maintains records as assigned in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain the calibration program within calibration intervals
  • Maintain the inspection program within inspection intervals
  • Assign a unique identification to a tool and maintain relevant records.


Physical requirements:


While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to:

  • Sit at a desk and use a computer
  • Walk to production areas
  • Stand, bend or kneel
  • Ascend and descend stairs
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.


Toolroom Quality Inspector may be required to support production operations during; 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, weekends, holidays.
