Leadership Opportunity: Success Coach – Residential

About the Role

The Success Coach serves as a mentor and trusted resource for both new and tenured SPIN employees. This leadership opportunity focuses on supporting employees as they build confidence in their roles and apply training effectively in real‑time work settings.

As a strategic partner to the Learning and Development team, the Success Coach helps strengthen employee engagement, reinforce best practices, and support overall professional growth across SPIN’s residential programs.

This is a leadership opportunity and does not change an employee’s primary position, status, or union membership.

Success Coach Accountabilities

  • Support new employees in completing required pre‑service training and on‑the‑job learning
  • Welcome new employees to their teams and connect them to SPIN’s mission, values, and community
  • Collaborate with employees to develop and implement individualized success plansthat identify:
    • Goals and strengths
    • Learning needs
    • Potential barriers to employment success
  • Reinforce SPIN’s Being a Good Employeetraining, including:
    • Time and attendance
    • Professionalism
    • Communication and teamwork
    • Problem-solving and advocacy
    • Digital literacy
  • Provide point‑of‑service mentoring and coaching to tenured employees, ensuring adherence to SPIN policies and procedures
  • Conduct 90‑day check‑ins with new employees to assess progress, identify supports, and coordinate follow‑up

Residential Supports Responsibilities

  • Provide on‑the‑job training support for new Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Review household and financial responsibilities, including:
    • Laundry
    • Menus
    • Cleaning routines
  • Provide hands‑on training demonstrations as needed (e.g., wheelchair use, Hoyer lifts)
  • Foster a welcoming environment and facilitate team introductions
  • Review SPIN documentation and technology systems, including:
    • Evolv service notes
    • CPS service notes
    • EMIR / EBIR
  • Review SPIN 24/7 On‑Call procedures and StationMD in‑home protocols
  • Complete additional Success Coach leadership tasks as assigned

Expectations

  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to mentor and support others
  • Ability to model professionalism and best practices on‑site

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of SPIN employment experience
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle
  • Must be in good standing (no Level 4 Insubordination supervisory actions)
  • Successful completion of the Success Coach Training Program

1-2 Days Per Week flexible hours between 6am-8pm
8-16 hours weekly
