Field Services Technician II
Location: Phoenix, AZ
About the Role
The Field Services Technician II performs onsite technical work at client locations, including hardware installations, network infrastructure deployments, equipment refreshes, and break/fix support that cannot be resolved remotely. This role is often the primary in-person representative of the company for client end users.Â

Key Responsibilities
Field Execution
- Perform onsite technical work including:Â
- Hardware installationsÂ
- Workstation deploymentsÂ
- Network equipment rack-and-stackÂ
- Cabling and peripheral setupÂ
- Execute equipment refreshes and technology rollouts following project plans and deployment checklistsÂ
- Provide break/fix support for hardware and connectivity issues requiring physical presenceÂ
- Document all onsite work, including:Â
- As-built recordsÂ
- Serial numbersÂ
- Configuration detailsÂ
Operational Discipline
- Maintain accurate time entries for all field engagementsÂ
- Follow project plans and deployment checklists without deviationÂ
- Arrive fully prepared with required equipment, documentation, and access credentialsÂ

Qualifications
Required
- 1+ years of experience in:Â
- IT field servicesÂ
- Desktop supportÂ
- Hands-on technical roles involving hardware deployment and onsite troubleshootingÂ
- Working knowledge of:Â
- Hardware installationÂ
- Workstation configurationÂ
- Basic networking (cabling, switches, access points)Â
- Peripheral setupÂ
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple site visitsÂ
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company at client locationsÂ
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationÂ
Preferred
- Experience in a managed services (MSP) environmentÂ
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certificationsÂ
- Experience with:Â
- Rack-and-stack installationsÂ
- Structured cablingÂ
- Network infrastructure deploymentÂ
- Familiarity with PSA and documentation platformsÂ
Compliance & Certifications
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications based on client environmentsÂ
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as:Â
- CJIS Security Awareness CertificationÂ
- CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification)Â
