You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule. 

Be part of the Auxiliary Power Unit Project Engineering team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Power Systems for multiple large-scale APU development programs including the G570 and 331-400P APU Systems. This position will be a leader within the Project Engineering team, working directly with Project Leadership, Customers and a cross-functional teams

 

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead activities associated with hardware procurement  
  • Support critical systems and test engineering efforts across multiple APU development program platforms including requirements management, system integration, and engine development/qualification test efforts 
  • Communicate with team leadership and the customer regarding program status 
  • Manage efforts within allocated budget and schedule 
  • Complete monthly budget and schedule updates (CAM activities) 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables 
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve project goals 
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders 
 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project, Systems, or Test engineering 

WE VALUE

  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Gas Turbine Engines (APU or Propulsion). 
  • Experience in the hardware procurement lifecycle for development programs. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. 
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events. 
  • Program/control account management skills. 
  • Technical writing. 
  • Customer communication. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
