Mayo Clinic Arizona (MCA) is seeking highly motivated Medical Physicists to join our Division of Medical Physics and support our photon clinical practice and academic missions.

MCA offers a comprehensive range of advanced radiation therapy techniques, including SRS (ExacTrac and HyperArc), SBRT, VMAT, SGRT, LDR and HDR brachytherapy, IORT, TBI, and TSE. The photon clinic is primarily a Varian environment with four TrueBeam linear accelerators and ARIA/Eclipse v18.1, treating approximately 2,000 patients annually. A fifth TrueBeam is scheduled for installation in 2027. The Division also supports Arizona's only proton therapy center, which features four Hitachi ProBeat pencil beam scanning gantries.

Beyond clinical responsibilities, the Division of Medical Physics is actively involved in the education of medical physics residents, radiation oncology residents, and rotating medical students and fellows. The photon practice has a strong focus on innovation, including online adaptive radiotherapy, automation, clinical software development, and advanced imaging technologies.

The successful candidate will participate in the full spectrum of photon clinical physics activities while joining a collaborative team of 11 physicists dedicated to the photon practice. This position offers outstanding opportunities for professional growth, academic involvement, and leadership within both the Mayo Clinic Enterprise and the broader medical physics community.

Applicants with experience in a Varian environment are encouraged to apply, although such experience is not required. The ability to independently develop, lead, and complete clinical, quality improvement, research, or technology implementation projects is highly desirable. Residents graduating in 2027 are encouraged to apply.
