Job Summary:
We are seeking a Service Calibration Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be onsite at our customer in Tucson, AZ with some area field service work and minimal travel (once a month) to Phoenix to support there.
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration Execution
- Perform calibrations in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards, including ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ANSI/NCSL Z540.1.
- Support a wide range of calibration disciplines with opportunities to cross-train and expand expertise.
- Accurately document calibration results with full compliance and traceability.
- Maintain calibration standards and report equipment issues as needed.
Field Support & Customer Engagement
- Support calibration activities at customer site and field service locations as needed.
- Some travel may be required, including local day trips or occasional overnight assignments based on business and customer needs.
- Set up and support mobile calibration workstations and onsite labs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service progress, technical needs, and scheduling.
- Build positive working relationships with customers while representing the organization professionally.
Team Collaboration
- Partner with supervisors and teammates to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Engage in cross-training to grow skills across multiple disciplines.
- Share feedback to improve service delivery, team efficiency, and customer experience.
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols, SOPs, and calibration standards.
- Participate in audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement efforts, including 5S and Kaizen.
- Maintain professional, audit-ready workspaces.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of calibration experience in a lab, onsite, or field service environment.
- Experience with RF/GP/Pressure calibration is preferred.
- Ability to support local or overnight travel assignments as business needs require.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and related calibration standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
