Introduction to Occupational Therapy Assistant: This course introduces concepts of occupation, practice framework, ethics, values, and the history and philosophy of occupational therapy practice. In this course, learners gain skills that are central to the practice of an occupational therapy assistant, including activity analysis, documentation, professional behaviors, and regulatory safety training.Ā

What You Will Do
- Facilitate classroom instruction and discussions
- Engage students in achieving course learning outcomes
- Assess student performance and provide feedback
- Incorporate current industry knowledge and best practices into teaching
- Support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters/Doctorate Degree
- Active, current, unencumbered, unrestricted OT or OTA license in Arizona
- 2 or more years of professional experience in occupational therapy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience in occupational therapy at the postsecondary level.
