POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Read, and understand shop drawings, blueprints, product specificationsĀ
- Process CNC cut files, be able to edit programs using programming softwareĀ
- Monitor CNC machine operation and safely intervene in the event of machine malfunctionĀ
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts, verify compliance with job specification and tolerances, accurately read a tape measureĀ
- Learn and perform daily CNC machine maintenanceāÆand performance checksĀ
- Learn CNC machine repair and replacement of internal partsĀ
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environmentĀ
- Report issues with tools, equipment, or unsafe conditionsĀ
- Forklift and overhead crane operation, training providedĀ
- Adhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and proceduresĀ
- Complete other responsibilities as assignedĀ
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 0-2 years as a CNC operator or programmer (metal, wood, waterjet, laser engraver or 3d printer)Ā
- Ability to precisely measure using tape measureĀ
- Ability to read and comprehend shop drawingsĀ
- Familiarity with power tools, woodworking, home remodeling, or constructionĀ
- This is a physical job. Able to meet physical demands of the job: standing for extended periods, frequent squatting, frequent kneeling, lifting loads up to 50 poundsĀ
- Some advanced computer experience, i.e. Photoshop, Google sketch up, Inkscape, Blender, 3D CAD or other modeling softwareĀ
- Positive attitude, willingness to learnĀ
- Mechanical aptitude, good math skillsĀ
- Good communication skillsĀ
- Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditionsĀ
- Strong sense of urgencyĀ
