Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry/IH)

Job Details: Job Location: Charlotte NC - Pineville, NC, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00Hourly, EMSL Analytical is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry/IH) in Pineville, NC. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze environmental, lead, and industrial hygiene chemistry samples Prepare and analyze inorganic / organic bulk sample matrices using EPA methods Use of analytical equipment such as Flame AA, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, and/or XRDSample prep methods including acid digestion/ organic extraction / inorganic digestion, appropriate batch QC and standardsSupport all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposalClean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as neededGenerate analytical reports and enter data into LIMS systemPerform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manualAdministrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phonesOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager Qualifications: Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Related Science required 1 Year work experience Previous experience with analytical chemistry instrumentation is a plus Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus Basic Math skills related to analytical chemistry Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysisPhysical requirements include the ability sit and stand for various lengths of timeAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitudeEffective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistanceAvailable Shift:Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Pineville, NC are encouraged to applyEMSL Analytical offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and FSA.
