JOB SUMMARY 

The primary responsibility of the Machine Operator is to safely assist with the operation of production equipment in an effective and efficient manner to produce quality products.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Set up and operate machines according to specifications, based on training and authorization.
  • Operate machines efficiently and safely.
  • Meet all production and quality standards.
  • Inspect products before and throughout the production process to ensure quality and prevent damage.
  • Adjust machines as needed to meet product specifications.
  • Ensure all work areas are safe and free of debris or obstacles that may damage equipment or cause injury.
  • Maintain high activity and productivity levels while working with a sense of urgency and efficiency.
  • Prioritize tasks as needed to complete work on time.
  • Always follow safety procedures.
  • Track and support equipment and machinery maintenance schedules.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely, as trained and certified.
  • Support cross-training efforts and rotate between machines or equipment as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing, construction, fabrication, or machine operation experience
  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work safely in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating manufacturing or fabrication equipment
  • Experience in stone, countertop, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience
  • Familiarity with Moraware or similar production software
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook and Microsoft Office
