The laboratory studies a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) bacterial pathogen. The employee is expected to maintain a safe working environment, perform a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures, prepare specimens, keep a thorough laboratory notebook, oversee supply management, and operate and properly maintain equipment. Applicants should have a bachelor鈥檚 degree and minimum of 1 year experience that includes microbiology.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Performs a variety of laboratory techniques, including聽PCR, cloning, gene sequencing, molecular assays, microbiological assays,聽troubleshooting, and analysis. Ensures conformity to specifications.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Identifies, prepares, stores, and catalogues specimens.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Oversees supply management: ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books. Organizes and documents results.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Maintains, calibrates, cleans, and tests sterility of laboratory equipment.
