Steel Tower, 57th Floor, Pittsburgh PA 16219 seeks a Classical Hematologist to focus on the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of blood-related diseases and disorders, encompasses various conditions affecting blood cells, bone marrow, blood vessels, and the coagulation system, diagnose and treat hematological conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, complete clinical documentation in all electronic medical record system, attend appropriate Division or Department meetings, as necessary, and educate and teach Hematology Fellows and Internal Medicine Residents at UPMC Falk Medical Bldg., 3601 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15213, UPMC Presbyterian, 200 Lothrop St., Pittsburgh PA 15213, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, 300 Halket St., Pittsburgh PA 15213, UPMC Shadyside, 5230 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15213, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and 5115 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15213. Has the ability to work remotely from home- not on a regular basis. Requires travel to various worksites within 5 miles.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

- Focus on the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of blood-related diseases and disorders, encompasses various conditions affecting blood cells, bone marrow, blood vessels, and the coagulation system

- Diagnose and treat hematological conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, complete clinical documentation in all electronic medical record system

  • Medical Degree, Doctor of Osteopathy, its equivalent or its foreign equivalent

  • Must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine; must have completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology or Hematology.

  • Must have an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
