The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) and Small Business Development Center are seeking a qualified Financial Management Consultant. The Financial Management Consultant will provide consulting assistance to businesses in Western Pennsylvania.

Part of the University of Pittsburgh鈥檚 Office of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence has served businesses throughout western Pennsylvania for more than 25 years. The award-winning Pitt SBDC provides expert advice through workshops and no-cost consulting services in several areas, including business plans, financial projections, market research, marketing, growth strategies, environmental, and international trade support. The desired SBDC Financial Management consultant will provide business consulting assistance to new and existing businesses in Western Pennsylvania. Additionally, the consultant will work closely with clients and staff, develop effective relationships with local economic development agencies, and support the creation of educational programming for the center.聽聽

The job duties include:聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provides expert consulting to new and existing businesses on financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and projections, with an emphasis on complex transactions and growth strategies.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Designs and delivers financial training programs, tools, and resources for clients and staff.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supports the creation of educational programs in collaboration with resource partners to strengthen the financial literacy of the businesses the center serves.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develops and maintains relationships with local economic development agencies to heighten the profile of a center/institute and the University of Pittsburgh.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conducts market research on existing and emerging markets to inform advising strategies and identify new opportunities for client growth.
