McConway and Torley is hiring a Foundry Supervisor. In this position you will manage the day-to-day activities of the core room and/or the mold line, including inventory and equipment. You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently.


Location: Lawrenceville, PA

Shift: 12pm – 8pm



Key responsibilities include:

  • Hire, train, and coach machine operators and mold assemblers
  • Hold employees accountable for established policies and processes
  • Support operators and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting
  • Complete required safety, quality, and production paperwork for the shift
  • Communicate issues and escalate them to management as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements
  • Inspect and verify pattern and core box work to confirm tooling accuracy
  • Read and interpret foundry schedules to plan daily core room and/or mold line operations
  • Partner with safety and process engineering to develop and maintain standard work procedures
  • Work with design and engineering to improve tooling and processes
  • Implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Coordinate with tooling and engineering to maintain accurate inventory of critical pattern and core box maintenance supplies


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years in tooling maintenance or related manufacturing experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Foundry experience is a plus
  • Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong communication skills


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Associate’s degree or applicable related work experience


Working Conditions:

  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas and plant grounds.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

  • Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
  • Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned
