UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Casual Interventional Technologist to support our dynamic Interventional Radiology team! What You’ll Do

  • Assist proceduralists and administer contrast following established protocols.
  • Position patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure aseptic technique throughout each procedure.
  • Review patient history, verify physician orders, and document information accurately in the EMR.
  • Communicate clearly with patients to ease concerns and explain procedures.
  • Maintain accurate tracking, coding, and image archiving in all systems.
  • Support cross-departmental needs by performing general radiographic procedures as needed.


  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
  • CPR or BLS Required.
