Responsibilities include:
Administering contrast per protocol under direction of the proceduralist.
Demonstrating proper patient positioning and radiographic techniques during all interventional procedures.
Reviewing patient history, assessing physician orders, and applying department-specific protocols.
Documenting relevant patient information in the electronic medical record.
Maintaining a sterile and safe environment during procedures, including time-out protocols.
Clearly communicating instructions and educating patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation.
Ensuring accurate coding, image tracking, and charge entry in RIS and PACS systems.
Displaying professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
Collaborating effectively with team members across departments to support efficient patient care.
Assisting with general radiographic procedures in other areas, as needed.
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: - ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- ARRT Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34
