University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks Neuro-Oncologists (Multiple openings) in Pittsburgh, PA to diagnose and treat tumors of the brain, spinal cord, and other parts of the nervous system. Manage both primary and metastatic neurological cancers, address neurological complications that arise from cancer or its treatment. Interpret neurodiagnostic tests and imaging studies, collaborate on patient care with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists and pathologists. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options and prognoses. Participate in or lead clinical trials and research initiatives. Actively treat patients in clinic as a physician. See both new and established oncology patients in person, referring patients to other sub-specialties as required, providing diagnoses, prognoses, and developing plans for treatment within this population. Meet weekly with disease team to review team cases and opine on treatments in a collaborative manner. Refer patients to appropriate clinical trials and developing new clinical trials based on areas of expertise and research.
