6A General Surgery is looking for a Patient and Family Concierge to join our team in a full-time position, supporting patients, families, and staff with excellent customer service and front desk coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact on the unit and helping create a positive experience for patients and families.

The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. . There is no floating, travel, weekend, or on-call requirement.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Welcome and escort patients and visitors to correct locations.
  • Provide hospital info and issue parking passes and scooters.
  • Track patient belongings at admission.
  • Clean and organize patient rooms and public areas.
  • Restock supplies and change linens.
  • Report maintenance issues.
  • Prepare and serve meals per dietary orders.
  • Deliver trays and confirm patient identity.
  • Safely transport patients, equipment, and specimens.
  • Disinfect and inspect transport equipment.
  • Set up, sanitize, and test telehealth carts.
  • Order and stock unit supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and temperature logs.
  • Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist patients.
  • Follow safety protocols and report incidents.

Must have the desire, drive, and compassion needed to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times. High School diploma OR active High School/GED program enrollment OR one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.Previous experience in health care or customer service is a plus, but not required.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
