A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine to study biofilm formation in nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). This position is located in the Rangos Research Building, Children’s Hospital Campus.  Specifically, the candidate will interrogate the regulatory systems controlling NTM aggregation and dispersal in vitro and in model systems informed by direct imaging of in situ biofilm communities.Â
The successful candidate must have an MD and/or Ph.D. in a biomedical field and possess effective communication skills. Background with bacterial genetics and biochemical analysis of protein function is preferred but not essential. Â
