CNC Machine Milling Operator Position Overview:
 A CNC Milling Operator sets up, runs, and monitors numerical control milling machines to cut and shape precision metal or plastic parts.
CNC Machine Milling Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify components are produced to print (dimensional and visual inspection)
- Change tools.
- Make offsets.
- Load material and remove scrap.
- Fill out various paperwork.
- Simultaneous operation of multiple machines
- Minor troubleshooting
- Inspect finished machines parts.Â
CNC Machine Milling Operator Necessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):
- Proven experience with lathe/mill turning machines.
- Experience with CNC Milling machines.
- Experience using the Fanuc control preferred.Â
- Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints (GD&T symbols).
- Working knowledge of various materials & tools (inserts, endmills, drills)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and positive can-do attitude
- Must be dependable and possess a willingness to learn new techniques.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand for several hours.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
