Scott & Associates, P.C. is a well-established, multi-state legal recoveries law firm seeking a motivated and professional Compliance Supervisor to join the team.

Since our founding in 2000, we’ve grown into a leading force in debt recovery litigation, providing trusted and comprehensive legal solutions for major banks and creditors nationwide.

The Compliance Supervisor works at the direction of the compliance manager to assist in the supervision of compliance personnel and processes to ensure all laws, regulations, and client work standards are followed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in preparing detailed reports analyzing reportable complaints by client or batch including root causes, immediate remediation, and long-term prevention plans. 
  • Identify SOP gaps or training opportunities relative to reporting and provide recommendations for resolution to the Compliance Manager and Compliance Attorney 
  • Handle complex or escalated customer complaints directly when team needs assistance 
  • Track complaint trends and coordinate with management to address avoidable complaints and prevent further recurrences
  • Oversee complaint reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
  • Review consumer written communication, internal notes/journals, and/or calls to ensure the actions taken by the Firm complied with client work standards and expectations
  • Assist in the hiring, training, discipline, and growth of team members. Monitor productivity, performance, quality and compliance of the team
  • All other duties as assigned by the Compliance Manager or Compliance Attorney 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Three to five years’ complaint review or call quality assurance experience with at least one year in a supervisory or management role
  • Debt collection industry knowledge
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify areas of opportunity, and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a coordinated team
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization 
  • Ability to work efficiently with excellent attention to detail in a high-volume, fast paced, deadline driven environment 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point; ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, and computer; proficient with internet research
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
